43. Knowledge of Bhagwan and satsang is something to be acquired and kept secret

One of the main qualities of a saint is to understand the importance and greatness of Bhagwan and satsang.

Without knowing the importance and greatness of Bhagwan and satsang, even if we obtain them, we will not be able to understand them.

The important question now is: If we know the importance of Bhagwan and satsang, would it increase our saintliness or decrease our saintliness?

Every saint sings the importance of Bhagwan and satsang. Does it mean all of them are true saints?

The answer is: If we know the importance of Bhagwan and satsang only to talk about it to others, then it will decrease our saintliness. If we know the importance of Bhagwan and satsang and keep it safe and hidden within us, then it will boost our saintliness.

What do we do in satsang? We keep telling everyone that “We are the original satsang,” “We are the best group of saints and devotees,” “We are the most authentic group of saints and devotees,” etc.,

Saintliness is not something to be advertised; it is something to be kept secret. The greatness of Bhagwan and satsang should be kept secret inside us and protect it. Only then is the greatness of Bhagwan and satsang that we know is truthful.

Shreeji Maharaj has said that “If you see Bhagwan in your dreams, then you know the real importance and greatness of Bhagwan.”

Others should know us through our actions, not words

We might have this question: “If someone has attained Maharaj and satsang, should he not share it with others?”

The answer is, we should let others know about Maharaj and satsang through our actions, not words.

Nobody is going to believe us through our words. Our actions must be so great that the importance of Maharaj and satsang would automatically be revealed.

During Maharaj times, Nand Santo used to travel from village to village to promote satsang and to introduce Maharaj to others. If they tell everyone that “all other incarnations of Bhagwan are less than Maharaj,” would people believe them? No one would believe them.

Those saints did not talk directly about the greatness of Maharaj. Instead, by seeing their virtues, people automatically understood the importance and greatness of Maharaj and satsang.

If we gather a million people and tell them the importance of Maharaj, they will neither understand nor care.

They will understand the greatness of Bhagwan and satsang only by the work we do and the actions we take than the words we speak.

We don’t understand the importance of satsang we obtained

We have attained this satsang after hundreds of births. This satsang is the fruit of all our previous births’ pilgrimages, chanting of Bhagwan’s names, fastings, and other spiritual practices. Do we understand that?

Shreeji Maharaj has said, “Before leaving to Akshardham, I am completely giving Myself to these saints and devotees.”

We have attained such a satsang that is capable of granting Akshardham and murti of Maharaj even to the lowest of all souls.

If we live within the boundaries laid by satsang, then we are not living in this world, but we are already living in the abode of Bhagwan. It is not that we will get the bliss of Bhagwan after death; we will get it here and right now. That is the capability of our satsang. Yet we don’t take complete advantage of this satsang.

If a valuable treasure is kept in the hands of a kid, what will the kid do? As he doesn’t know the value of it, he will easily lose it. We are in exactly the same condition as that kid.

Nishkulanand Swami is awakening us to keep up our satsang. Swami is asking us, “Do not waste even a second of time without drinking the nectar of this satsang. Whether you are sitting or sleeping or doing whatever, keep drinking the nectar of satsang and keep enjoying satang. We got his priceless satsang. Understand it and keep it safe within you.”

The Maharaj we obtained is very valuable

The Maharaj we obtained is very valuable, and we got Him very easily. Elder saints say that, Even if you take another hundred births, there is no guarantee that you will get such a Maharaj.

Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami explained it with an example.

One day, a shepherd found a shining stone as large as a tennis ball. He wondered what it could be and tied it to the neck of a sheep, not knowing that it was a precious diamond.

As the shepherd did not know the value of it, he showed it off to everyone by tying it to the neck of a sheep. He wanted to show everyone that “My sheep has such a bright thing in its neck.”

Someone else saw the sheep with a diamond on its neck and bought it for a mere ten dollars.

The buyer thought the diamond was worth a hundred dollars, took it to the market, and sold the diamond for a hundred dollars.

The second buyer took the precious stone to diamond businessmen, showed it to them, and sold it for ten thousand dollars to a businessman who knew the real value of the diamond.

The businessman knew that in his whole life he hasn’t seen such a precious diamond. He also knows that he is not going to see such a diamond ever again. So, he kept the precious diamond safe and hidden in his secured and safe locker.

Similarly, we found a diamond in the form of Maharaj. Do we want to tie it to a sheep and show it off to everyone without knowing its value? Or do we want to keep it safe in a secured and safe locker? It is up to us.

Why did the shepherd tie it to a sheep? He found something bright and wanted to show off the bright thing to everyone.

Why did the businessman keep it in a locker? He knew the real value of it and did not show off. If something is very valuable, then there is no show-off.

Where do we stand between the shepherd and the businessman?

The valuation is the same with Maharaj and satsang. Different people value Maharaj and satsang differently.

How much is Maharaj valued by Gunatitanand Swami, by Gopalanand Swami, by Parvat Bhai, and by Dada Khachar? And how much are we valuing Maharaj? Our saintliness is based on our valuation of Maharaj and not based on our talks.
