23. A fake saint makes sure others’ inner eye is closed forever

Nishkulanand Swami says that, when the inner eye of an aspiring soul is open, he will immediately recognize a fake saint and keeps away from him, and one way or another he will also find a true saint and serve him honestly.

On the other hand, a fake saint, by employing many tools and techniques, makes sure that the inner eye of aspiring souls is closed forever.

There is a story around it.

Once, there was an enormously rich businessman. He was so rich that there was no one around as rich as him. In every way he was full of riches.

On the downside, he had a daughter with a distorted face. She was so distorted that nobody liked to see her face. There was no girl around as distorted as her.

The daughter grew up, yet no one came forward to marry her.

The businessman was naturally very worried about it.

Years passed, yet no one was willing to marry her.

One day, one of the businessman’s friends suggested to him that, “I have an idea. Find out a blind young man, marry your daughter to him, and keep the couple in your home. This way, your daughter will be happily married, and your worry will also be gone.”

The businessman liked the idea. He found a blind man and got his daughter married to him. Thus, his daughter’s life was going on well.

One day, the businessman held a large party. As he was a prestigious man, many respected individuals like politicians, scientists, doctors, and celebrities showed up at the party.

Among them was a close friend of the businessman who was an experienced doctor. Not knowing about the marriage of the businessman’s daughter, he saw the daughter and her husband together, and asked, “who is this new guy?”

“My son-in-law,” replied the businessman.

When the doctor came to know that his friend’s son-in-law was blind, he decided to examine his eyes. He observed him closely and understood the problem with his eye.

He then proposed to the businessman: “With a minor surgery, your son-in-law’s vision can be brought back. If you wish, I can make him see the world.”

Listening to those words, the businessman replied, “Never do such a thing. I do not want to do that. If you bring him vision, what will happen to my daughter? If he starts seeing the world, he will leave my daughter for sure. So, forget about bringing him vision, and enjoy the party.”

Then he quietly whispered, “If you can, remove the possibility of bringing him vision. He should not be able to see the world forever.”

Why did the businessman say so?

Because of his worry: “What will happen to my daughter?”, “Once he sees the world, what will he do to my distorted daughter?”

He can feed his son-in-law for life, but he doesn’t want to bring him vision.

That is the worry of a fake saint: “If he is able to see the truth, what will happen to me?”

And so, they will make sure that the inner eye of aspiring souls is closed forever.

Fake saints are scared and fearful. “If the aspiring souls around me understand the qualities of saintliness and unsaintliness present in a saint, if he gets that vision, then who will accept me as a saint? who will accept my works that are not saintly?”

Unsaintly works and unsaintly thoughts of a saint are like that distorted daughter. The world will not accept him if he is known to be unsaintly. So, he makes sure that the inner eye of the world is shut and closed forever.
