08. A fake saint is an expert

Who is more intelligent between demons and demigods?

Demons are always more intelligent than demigods.

Maydanav was the architect of demons; Vishwakarma was the architect of demigods.

Vishwakarma constructed the city of Dwarika. He constructed it with the gold that Lord Krishna had brought.

Satyabhamaji’s father had pleased Surya Dev (the Sun God) who gifted him samanthkamani (a wishing stone) as a boon that could generate gold every day. When Lord Krishna married Satyabhamaji, He received samanthkamani as a gift. Lord Krishna then gave the gold generated from this stone to Vishwakarma with which he constructed Dwarika.

On the other hand, Maydanav was so skillful in his architectural skills. For example, he once made the floor of a palace look like a pool full of water and made the pool of water look like a normal floor. Vishwakarma was never able to accomplish such a feat.

Demons are excellent in surgical skills as well. The demon nurse Jara found a baby who had been cut in half and thrown into the forest. Through surgical operations, she was able to merge the two halves of the baby and bring life back into him. Eventually, that boy known as Jarasandh grew up so strong that he defeated Bhimji in a fight.

As exemplified by these incidents, demons are better than demigods at everything. This includes displaying a saintly lifestyle; fake saints are always better at displaying saintly qualities than true saints are.

If a fake saint is not an expert, he will not be able to fulfill his worldly desires. If people realize his true nature, they will not respect him or donate money to him. And so, to survive, a fake saint becomes an expert at hiding his true nature and portraying himself in a good light.
