Determination of bhagavan can be done only by bhagavan.

Key Points:

Māharāj builds his determination, residing within us.

Explanation

In this Vachanamrut, Purnanand swami asked a question : ten senses are of rajas nature (of Maya), four consciences are of sattva nature (of Maya). Therefore, all senses and consciences belong to Maya, and bhagavan is beyond it. Then how come the determination of bhagavan can be done by senses like eyes that belong to maya? Also, how come bhagavan can be seen with eyes belonging to maya? Then Shreeji Maharaj said : If bhagavan can be seen with mayik eyes then he is also mayik, is it your question? Then all saints replied, yes Maharaj! It is. You have confirmed it.

Then Maharaj gave the answer : There is fifty crore yojan earth, in one form it is present in the form of whole different visible shapes and objects. In its other form, it is also present as a deity. In its functional form it seems huge but in its original form or deity form it looks small. Yet it is capable of doing great work by all means.

Maharaj says that even if the origin is small, it possesses the power of producing a huge creation which is the greatness of it. Also, it possesses the power of controlling the creation, providing consciousness and its appropriation etc. Yet creation is huge, it is trivial before its origin. That original form of earth is produced from one portion of water. Thus, from the point of view of water, the earth does not come into view, and as a function water is spreaded in a huge area. Secondly, as an origin, the deity of water looks like a human in size in their abode. Thus, in the view of water earth is nothing. Thus, if we look at the view of origin, fire, air, space and up to aksharbrahma and purushottam narayan Shreeji Maharaj are bigger, subtle and origin in hierarchy. Thus the origin of the whole is Maharaj.

Also Maharaj says, origin is not separate from function. The influence of origin on function is higher than others. Thus, it is called a function of origin. For example, current passes through cable. It also passes through huge stations, transformers, and meters to switch boards. Then it passes to lamps, tubelights, fans, A.C, heater etc. Each equipment works according to their functions. Now the tubelight says I am providing light, then it is true. But it cannot light up on disconnection from the power station. At the origin, the power station is the source for all. The power station contains the capacity of being separate from equipment (as an origin) and capacity of being connected (by power) as well. While function cannot be considered separate from origin. Thus, function is separate by its work but not from origin.

Similarly, in the view of origin, the power station of senses-consciences is Maharaj. Thus, Maharaj enters in our capable consciences, and he makes jivas capable of his determination. It can only be possible when bhagavan, who is the origin of all and separate from all, comes on earth and decides that normal humans also can see and identify me. Bhagavan, when in the human incarnation, makes such a decision, jivas after understanding the greatness of bhagwan, with the help of saints, give response according to the decision of god. Then, Maharaj, as an omnipresent (witness of each soul)residing inside us, makes us capable of his determination. Thus, determination of Maharaj can be done only by him, and jivas are also considered to give their effort.

Like this, the determination of bhagavan, who is divine and beyond mayik senses and consciences, can be done. On the other side, jivas make their consciences pure and fragrant with virtues like bhakti, so that bhagwan can stay there. Then, Bhagwan enlightens his true divine form in the souls of devotees with. This is the self-attempt part. Another, mentioned before, is the mercy part. Work gets done when both are together. It will not be justice for self-effort if bhagwan alone works for determination by his mercy. Also, for bhagwan it will be confusing to whom he selects for determination? If it is only the effort of jivas then self-effort will become prior to bhagwan which will decrease his greatness and mercy. Therefore, jivas can make determination only when both sides are appropriate and it gets the salvation.
